Which German course is the right one?
For ambitious adults who want to improve their German language skills at different levels of difficulty, we offer a differentiated range of courses that promote different strengths.The group courses can be chosen either with ‘precision focus’ or ‘communication focus’. Our course models include intensive courses with 20 lessons per week, private lessons and semi-intensive evening courses.
“Precision Focus” is perfect for anyone who wants to master their language down to the last detail. This course gives you a solid language foundation for long-term confidence. The emphasis is on mastering grammar and using it effortlessly. Through logical explanations, you learn to use grammar intuitively instead of just memorising it.
“Communication Focus” is ideal for developing communication skills. In this course, you will learn to improve your expression by refining your word choice and achieving a higher level of language. The aim is to be able to formulate complex thoughts clearly and use them correctly in demanding speaking situations.
All of our German courses are based on the “Common European Framework of Reference for Languages”, which allows for a classification into the proficiency levels A1, A2, B1, B1+, B2, C1, and C2 for beginners and advanced learners. You are free to choose the course model that suits you best. To determine your current language level, we offer a free placement test at the beginning. We can best answer any remaining questions in a free consultation session.

Non-binding Consultation Session
Approximately 20 minutes. In-person, by phone, or via video conference. Simply drop by during our business hours, call us (+41 44 250 20 00), or schedule an appointment.
Free Placement Test
For those with prior knowledge of German, an on-site or remote 60-90 minute placement test will be conducted. The results and our recommendation will be discussed 1-2 days after the evaluation.
Registration
Afterwards, you will receive an offer. Upon signing, a deposit is due which will be deducted from the course fee and refunded in case of a course cancellation during the money-back guarantee period.
Full-Time
German Intensive course
Intensive courses are the ideal choice for those who would like to learn German as quickly as possible. They can also be combined well with our free video-conversation classes for even more intensive speaking practice.
Days and times: Monday to Friday, 08.30 to 11.40
Lessons per week: 20 lessons of 40 minutes

Part-Time
German Semi-intensive course
The hybrid semi-intensive courses are particularly flexible for everyday life and allow the students more time for revision between classes. We offer these two options:
Days and times: Mon/Wed or Tue/Thu
Afternoon course (8 lessons per week, 13.30 to 16.40)
Evening course (6 lessons per week, 18.00 to 20.10)
Lessons per week: 6 or 8 lessons of 40 minutes

Individual
German Private lessons
Our private lessons are designed for people who are looking for the greatest possible flexibility.
We offer private lessons for individuals or groups of up to 3 people.
Days and times: From Monday to Friday. Lesson times are freely selectable.
Course materials: Mostly digital, personal device (laptop or tablet) is mandatory
Price: CHF 108 per 45 minutes (individual lessons). CHF 20 for each additional person.
A 5% discount is automatically granted if at least 7 lessons of 45 minutes (a total of 315 minutes) of private lessons are taken in a calender month.

On-site in Zurich or online
Hybrid German classes
All our courses are taught as hybrid classes: Students can come to the classroom in Zurich or they can join via video link.
Three cameras simultaneously record the room atmosphere, the teacher and the teaching material. Thus course participants connected via video feel like being on site.
All you need is an internet-enabled device (preferably a laptop with a webcam) and one of the most popular browsers.
Our courses are perfectly suited for everybody who wants a “normal” class but needs the option to attend from afar.

Free Placement Tests
Our free placement tests help us determine the ideal starting point for each student. The beginners’ levels consist of A1, A2, and B1. The advanced levels are formed by the B2, C1 and C2 levels.
Customers who already have previous knowledge are assessed orally before the course begins and have the opportunity to take a free placement test. The test lasts between 60 and 90 minutes depending on the level and is corrected and evaluated by selected teachers. The results discussion usually takes place 1 to 2 days later and also includes our course recommendation. For maximum flexibility, we offer the possibility to take the placement test either on-site or comfortably from home online.
Free Lunchtime Conversation Classes
As a free offer for our course participants, we offer a conversation class at lunchtime. Our goal is to improve the oral expression of our course participants and to apply the knowledge learned in the course. The given topics allow for consolidation of vocabulary as well as training of different forms of conversation.

Regular unit tests
Our courses are divided into several modules that are completed with regular tests. These written and oral assessments provide a valuable basis for assessing individual learning progress. In this way, we ensure a homogeneous course dynamic and can provide our course participants with targeted advice and optimal support.
